Who operates this website

This is the author website of Drew Halstead. Use the contact form for privacy questions, access requests, corrections, or deletion requests.

Reader correspondence

The contact form collects your name, email, category, subject, message, and privacy acknowledgment. Submissions are stored privately to handle the inquiry. Access is restricted to authorized account administrators. Messages are retained for up to 90 days, unless you and the author separately arrange an ongoing matter.

Book announcements

Signup collects your email and optional first name, together with consent wording, source, and timestamps. Confirmation is required before activation. Confirmation links expire after 24 hours. Pending signups expire after seven days.

Active subscription details are retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion. A minimal suppression record is retained to prevent an unsubscribed, bounced, or complained address from being re-added. A deletion request does not mean silently removing that protection. No purchased lists are used.

Providers and security

Cloudflare hosts this website and its private data storage and processes technical request information. When email sending is available, an email delivery provider processes the address and message needed to deliver confirmations and announcements. Data may be processed outside your country. We do not sell subscriber or inquiry information.

Forms use validation and abuse controls. Short-lived, hashed rate-limit identifiers and abuse events are retained for up to seven days. Message bodies and raw email tokens are not written to application logs. Security cannot be guaranteed absolutely.

Cookies and external links

This site does not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies. Bot protection may process browser and network information. Amazon operates independently under its own policies when you follow a purchase link.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe using a link in an announcement. You can request access, correction, or deletion through the contact form. The rights available to you depend on your location. This site is not intended to collect information from children.
